I am currently looking at an '84 gsl it has special edition on the side. Is it the same as a gsl-se? I have not had a chance to look under the hood to see if it's a 12a or a 13b and they have limited information on their site about it, any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Are there any interior pictures? There was a special edition produced in 1983, but not in 84, the GSL-SE was the "special edition" that year but it wasn't called that.

 

They don't have any interior pictures and I forgot to take one, but it had red cloth seats and power windows. It also has the 13 in wheels so that leads me to believe it's not a gsl-se.

 

Definitely not an SE with the X wheels. Was the steering wheel black with four spokes (1983 or earlier) or red with three spokes (84 and 85 models)?

 

This is just a standard GSL. Someone added that "special" trim/paint.

I agree with the above. It has a nasty striping package on it that someone installed back in the 80's with the cheesy special edition lettering. Nothing special about the car.

 

Ive seen that before. Just a GSL !
