1980 with 15,261 miles

I am new to the site as I would like to sell my 1980 Mazda RX-7 which has 15,261 miles. It is in excellent condition, garaged, and I have been the only owner. I checked NADA for pricing but they didn't ask for mileage information-and I think it would price higher with such low mileage. Any suggestions as to how to price accordingly? Thank you. Lastly where is the best place to advertise?

An original owner SA in "excellent" condition with 15K miles would be worth substantially more than your average 1980 Rx-7. A few very nice cars with, professionlly done ads have gone into the low teens the last few years but that is the exception, not the norm. Your sale price is a personal matter, Im sure a balance somewhere between getting a good price and seeing it go to a good home. Its not free, but BaT (Bring a Trailer) has probably been the best at getting a wide audience that is willing to spend a little more for a quality car. Plus, you can search past sales on specific models to see for yourself what other ads look like and what the sale prices were. Speciality insurance providers like Hagerty, also have online pricing guides for classic vehicles.

I'm sure that members here would like to see what you have and provide comment if you'd care to share. Post up some shots of the Inside, outside and under the hood. Sorry to see another original owner sell, but when its time, I guess its time.

I would run Bring a Trailer and/or Hemmings if I was to sell a car like yours. Also, get your self a cheap prepaid phone. My grandpa was selling two classics and in hindsight, he should have gotten a cheap phone to preserve his privacy. Half of the people calling were some type of brokers who "could sell the car in days.." BS. I am a bit iffy on Craigslist also. I'm just sad to first meet pjw just as he's getting ready to sell.

It sounds like an amazing example and I would also love to see pictures of the car.

To get the maximum value for the car, www.bringatrailer.com would be your best bet.

Thanks so much as all of your information was incredibly helpful. I really had no idea where to begin and I def want the car to go to someone who will appreciate it. I will post photos within the next day.

I went on and looked at BaT, and my hope is that they will pick it up for auction.

I sold my ‘79 SA on BAT about a 18 months ago. If you do go that route have some very good pictures of the entire car including the underside of the car. Also a cold start and driving video would help. Lastly be prepared to answer a lot of questions about the car.

I started taking photos last week to use but realized I need more complete ones. I will post some here when I'm finally ready. Thanks for your advice, and good to know about the number of questions I might receive.
