so i thought their was a clog in the fuel system that would cause a bog when you step on the gas but after changing the fuel filter that isnt happening just this random bog that comes after driving 15-30 mins and wont let you get past 4k and just keeps sputtering out no matter how hardyou try to keep it alive so I'll have to pull over turn the car off for 1-2mins then shes fine again and will drive normally but will do the same thing in randomly tried fuel pump fuse and checked my grounds and connections, spark plugs, and spark plug wires idk at this point other than a fuel pump or accelerator pump it will come on randomly at 3-4k rpm and wont go away till you stop and turn off the car only mods are a muffler delete

Probably the igniters or ignition box circuit in there with them are going bad. Coils usually don't fail like this. These were my exact symptoms when I created my TFIDFIS ignition. See my sig for the link.

I think you were right I do remember when I first or the car their were no rubber pos or neg covers for the leads to the battery and it jumped up due to not being tied down and the rag the previous owner had been using feel of so tons of sparks and a melted battery terminal = scorched eltrical and fuses after changing half the fuses I think the ignition control unit got fried and is now on its final leg I already have a fuel pump on its way so I'll just change it and know it's good but definitely will bee a new ignition system

My 80 did the same thing.
Fuel tank innards was shedding into the fuel outlet pipe.
Symptoms:
-run the car about 15 min, choked up and stalled
-sit for 10 min... the plug-up drifts away from the outlet. runs again till suction from pump pulls the crap back into the inlet.
-esp noticeable when tank partially full
Cause:
-long-incorrectly-stored low mileage SA left with some old gas and a lot of air space. Condensation rusted interior of tank. Crap on inner walls falls into fuel
Solution:
-drain and pull tank
-have professional cleaned at a rad shop that can do a chemical dunk
-re-seal the inner tank with product designed to do it, like POR15 Tank Kit ($30).
