I just watched this video, and I thought we should all check it out. I think it started up so well because when you see the mileage meter, it is only at 30,XXX. It is still an awesome video. Also, check out those rotor wheels, I'm in love.

Is this the one where he drags it through a fence to get it out?

Edit: Yeah. I cringe at that part!

a great day for that new owner .

Kind of reminds of when I picked up my 79 ..... drove home with a temporary permit in the winter for about an hour on 15 psi in all the tires , almost no brakes , a giant hole in the muffler, one speed on the defrost fan , broken fuel guage, mouse pee seat covers , add coolant light on ( ground issue) and the steering shaft bushing gone so bad I had shaft play , not just normal "wondersteer" play

the old guy also likely a great day . Wonder what he got paid for it .... maybe a pack of smokes

got that beat.

got my '74 REPU with 25 year old expired tags(they expired in '83 lol, it hadn't run in that timeframe either) and a siezed motor, worked it loose in 5 minutes with MMO and fired it up and drove it around. still on the original 13B engine with 130 some odd thousand miles but won't for much longer. i was surprised that it didn't smoke that much either. i'm working on restoring it, the fuel tank was rotted out as well as the interior floor pans since the window was left open. i took it in partial trade for a full rebuild and partial restoration on a '76 REPU.

that poor car, all it needed was a door and an owner that cared about it.

I love hearing the stories of how people got their cars, it's always interesting.
