13B swap people, I need your help
Ok, I drive a 1984 GSL with a GSL-SE 13B swapped into it. My car was rear ended, and I'm pretty sure that it is going to be totaled out. Since I only have liability, the other gentleman's insurance will be paying me for the value of the vehicle. Now I have found that an offender's insurance company is responsible for paying you what the car is worth, including the modifications regardless of if you have them listed on YOUR insurance policy. All you have to do is prove that the modifications are on the car in question. It's not hard for me to prove I have a 13B, but what I need from you guys, is how much you paid for your motor, if it was running or needed to be rebuilt, and if possible, you PM me contact information or a copy of a receipt so I can show to the other insurance company, the value the engine swap adds. If you don't want to give me personal information if you want, but if you have a price for your motor and the condition it was in, just post it and I'll use screenshots of this thread as proof, but the more credibility you can put behind it, the better.
CLIFFS!!: how much does it cost to buy a running 13B, if you've done it, could you give me a phone number and name I can use to get the true value for my car from insurance.

I paid $250 for a running GSL-SE core in Buford when I put my SE together. It was used, of unknown mileage, but had good chrome as inspected through the exhaust ports. You'd probably see more value in that DHLA 48 setup you've got, though. Since they're not available new, you'll need to scour eBay to pull several selling prices and establish a going rate.
Remind them too that you've either had to swap the engine crossmember or build a custom motor mount bracket in order to fit it.

Here's a Delloto setup on eBay, just for reference.

I sold my running SE engine with the harness and accessories for $600. The engine was running great and was pulled from my running car with 97k miles. I have no receipt of the selling price.
