Ok so over the next year I will be building A 12a J Port and want peoples recommendations on a carb to suit. Initially I thought a weber IDA but have also been told a Dellorto side draft will give me a more torquey power band? Can anyone comment?

 

I would use the IDA have found the side drafts have float bowl cant get enough fuel in and tend to lean out at high rpm

 

I've had a dellorto for years and love it..... But it was time consuming to tune and get just right....

Apparently now though a hogged out stock Nikki carb is the way to go
