12A/13B - what to buy???

SO I am getting that rotary itch again, and I am trying to get into another one of these. I have a wrx for a daily driver, so this will just be a change of pace type of car, something that I can play around with now and then and maybe mod a little bit, but nothing major. What do you guys recommend, should I wait it out and get a 13B, they are starting to become rare, or will a 12A with the right bits and pieces (GSL) do just fine, there seem to be quite a few of these around? I am more concerned with reliability, and ideally I would like a rather clean original car over a modified car.

Be Patient. Took me a Year of looking to find the SE (13b) I wanted. If you're looking to keep the car original, the SE's (or the first year '79's) are the ones most likely to gain in value.

Depends, Building wise I prefer the 12A (simple, and ports are so small it has a lot of room for HP improvement) if your staying stockport than you cant go wrong with a 13b, (12a is my preference tho)

I think as you guys said patience is key, there seem to be some good ones coming up online now and then. If I could keep it simple and get a nice clean 12A, that would work, but hey, if the right 13b comes along, it will be hard to say no to that! As far as mods, I would just put an exhaust and some other simple mods, nothing beyond that, I would like it to keep it simple.
