1/4 mile time with light flywheel.

I was just curious if any one has recorded their 1/4 mile time with the stock flywheel and then with a light flywheel. Please do not tell me that light flywheels make the car accelerate quicker and what not. I already know that. I want to know what the difference is in the 1/4 mile between the two. If any of you have recorded your times, please let me know.

in all honesty it could slow you down. launching a car with a lighter flywheel changes things. really, i dont think it makes the car much quicker in the quarter. the car will rev and accelerate fatsr but nothing more than few tenths of a second faster if that

You will actually lose on the holeshot and suffer in the 60 foot. Topend may improve to offset the loss though.

What I'm thinking just from good old common sense is that the lighter flywheel will not get out of the hole as quick and may suffer a little loss in the very beginning as you said. But then it would probably out-run the 7 with the heavier flywheel
throughout the rest of 1st, 2nd, and possibly the beginning of 3rd gear. The car with the heavier flywheel may catch up and pass the one with the lighter at the end of the 1/4 mile though. That's just my opinion and without any proof or course.
