sorry mods for posting this... still my car tho LOL
here's a quick photoshop (on a lame pic) of how the rx-8 headlights would look like. Shape is almost the same but size is still unknown to me. 99spec on the right and rx-8 on the left

the rx8 lights are a fiar amount bigger than the 99 spec turnsignals.

o and DeeSan. That doesnt look all that bad. Nota lot different than the 99 spec light, but i bet the rx8 lights are DEEP compared to the lights on the 99spec.
TinMan is correct it is illegal to put hids in a halogen housing. point of clarification though, just because it is a projector doesnt make putting hids in them legal. there HID (xenon) projectors and there are incandescent (Halogen) projectors. also a side note, there are hids in reflector housings in some cars, ie prius.

im not surprised, but at the same time i dont get it. i could see if what you were doing took away from the FD's look (ie rx7.8) but when you are effectively keeping the same shape what does it matter? (the fact that it wouldn't really work is irrelevant.)

also why do so many 7 guys hate the 8? i understand its not the performer the 7 is, but at the same time its never claimed to be. (has it?) and its not like the rotary has been strictly a sports car motor, been in trucks and sedans also. is it the "back seats/doors" the majority of cars in this segment have a back seat, and the doors make access to the back seat convenient and don't take away from the coupe appeal.

the style is defiantly different, but consider most automakers have a drastic differences from mid 90s to now. and imo its the best looking in its segment.

overall its not a replacement for the fd (but there really isnt one under $100k (mild exaggeration)), but would make a great daily driver.

just my 2 cents. continue thread.

Not too hard really, im using dtc-60s and they are dusty as hell. I just make sure i rinse the dust off as soon as i get home, wash the rims and put wax sealer on them

Figured i'd jump in on this photoshop kick... i've been playing with the idea of wrapping the bottom lip of my burnout front bumper and yesterday I cracked it so i photoshopped what it would look like with dark carbon wrap... i think it looks pretty sick, thoughts?

I'd wrap the bottom portion of the center airdam as well.

Also in agreement. (tho would go with a non-carbon material for the wrap) I'm no body guy/know what's possible or not, but have always thought those skirts would look better if the top edge were somehow molded to the body as well, as in if there weren't a line where the two met.
