Stock Fd3s akerman numbers

So I'm messing with the suspension system moved the rack forward now getting insane anti akerman angles
not nice to drive scrubbing it's ***** off when slow speed turns
I've shortened the steering arm on hub and lowered it so the wheel doesn't contact steering arm on a lock and shorter throw on steering so I'm getting more turn for less steering wheel angle,
I'm just wanting info on stock akerman angles
Can't seem to find info tried search found some other interesting things,
I Know I should have taken stock reading before adjustment lol I watch YouTube vids get all excited and start cutting.......
The rack can't go back to stock position

Any help would be great thanks

I've never seen a thread with ackerman numbers here. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist though. Maybe someone will come along with info...

Try researching 20B and V8 swaps where they moved the rack to try and find info. Here's a start: https://www.rx7club.com/20b-forum-95...g-rack-812424/

So after some more YouTube cutting and messing about my numbers measured before adjustment
I was getting 5degree antiakermn outer wheel turning in an additional 5degree, on a 20degree sweep
By moving track rod ends closer to the brake disc by approx 4mm I'm getting close to 0 akerman slightly positive on a 20degree sweep I'm getting 21degree on inner wheel gonna have to weld it all up and test it looks much better

These adjustments only apply on a front rack vehicle the Opersit would apply on a rear rack setup

If anyone does have stock numbers or can measure if they get a chance would be appreciated 👍
Also how are you guys uploading pics I used to use photo bucket years ago
https://demonstrations.wolfram.com/A...ezoidalLinkag/
playing with this helped me with cutting

Thanks

Plan to get the last bit of tow out on turn moving the steering rack pivot point It's all a guess at the min but by approx 2 inch movement back looks to be close to stock like tie rod arm angle

If anyone is interested the 350z inner tie rods fit the FD it's shorter so can use the threads with a rose / heim joint with reverse thread part number 48521AL500
obviously not a direct bolt on as track rod end thread is m14x1.5 not the fd3s 14x1.25

No info to share on stock ackermann, but in days past when parallel steering arm corrections were the rage, cutting and shutting or welding forged items was verboten......it was heat up to cherry red with the oxy, bend them as accurately as you could to get them where you needed, bury them in sand for a day or so. If things couldn't be accomplished that way, fabricated uprights with adjustable steering arms was the solution.

If it's still out there from 20 years ago Erik Zapetal(sp?), was the ackermann guru and had an extensive treatise on the subject.
