I've been studying the design layout of the V-mount and their new air filter a bit. There are two videos on the KS home page which go over the installation and function of the V-mount IC/Radiator. It seems like a good idea but I would suspect that the airflow restrictions blowing through the core (outside) would have to be the same for both the radiator and the IC. Otherwise the air will take the path of less resistance. It could be that there's more than enough pressure at speed for both.

If you look at the video, the fans are mounted on the underside, using the stock assemblies. Pretty slick.

I was also thinking the Air Groove would be great if the backing plate was designed for a single turbo as well, not just the twins.

If someone is feeling ambitious, something similar could be made. If you have the CWR IC, it'd make things even easier.

I doubt that intake would work with a standard IC/Rad. And that V setup looks interesting but certainly would eliminate the A/C. Heck if you eliminated the A/C on the current setup you wouldn't likely have any cooling probs anyway.

Looks pretty cool though

Anyone have an asperin? That must have been A literal translation. I think it needs a little rephrasing. That sounds like Jon at Ziel Motorsports "lol".

I don't care if it's made for the V-Mount and I don't care about the cost, if it can be adapted to work with our cars with SMIC or FMIC. The only other true Ram/Cold air system is the CWest which reuires using their bumber as the scoop protrudes through it.

got a question:
knightsport is supposly working on a v mount that is supposed to be a lot cheaper. if he does not make aspecific intake for this would you be able to go to a muffler shop and have them bend a pipe so that the intake goes in place of the passenger side oil cooler location (obviously relocating the oil cooler to the driver side using abigger oil cooler)? and would the piping cause the air to heat up (since its metal), making this whole suggestion mute (sp chk)?

Cool I've been procrastinating that idea

My bro-in-law's good friend builds/restores hand made race cars (and bmx bikes w/chainsaw motors)and i've been wanting to go to his shop and have him figure out how to route pipes to the open section in my touring model where the 2nd oil cooler would be and then add either Blitz or HKS metal mesh filters to handle the pebbles and whatever. This new KS intake seemed like an easier alternative that even R1/R2's could use.
