Did some searching, but didn't come up with anything in the form of a how-to or install. Especially for the solid or Derlin bushings. Does the subframe have to be removed completely? Anyone care to chime in?

It makes it 1000x easier with the sub-frame out but its not 100% nessisary.
Its pretty straight forward tho, remove old bushings(probably cut/burn out)
And replace with new. Took me about 20 min with the frame out

 

As long as the new bushings do not have to be PRESSED in, I'll be fine. I am replacing the front diff. bushings so I thought I'd do the bushings with the subframe hanging down.

remove the subframe... will make your life 1000x better.

I used an air chisel and had them out in 5min flat -new ones go right in -no pressing.

I did it with a hammer, steel pipe, and dremil if I had to score/cut anything.

Rears are easy. The big bushing on the front control arm is a bitch.

 

Drop subframe and cut out old bushings, then cut out metal colars that are stuck in there, then hammer in new bushings. they shouldnt slip in.

 

You don't use solid or delrin bushings in the rear. Stock or bearings.

 

your thinking of the trailing arms... he clearly said subframe bushings.

bump from the dead as not to start a new thread. this is not nearly as easy as you guys are saying. I got the mazdaspeed comp bushings and this install sucks! you absolutely need a press. not sure what bushings you guys have that "slide right in" but these defiantly do not.

 

edit: im an idiot and didnt take out the metal sleeves...
