Cool Just got a N/A 90 RX-7 and want to know what I should know.

Well I just got it as my daily driver and I want to know some things about it. I don't want to put much money in it since it is my daily driver but I was thinking about taking out the cats. Would that make it any faster? I don't have emissions here so that isn't a problem. What do you guys think? And I saw a headlight mod that makes them not come up but you can still see...whats that? Thanks guys!

Im a die-hard series 5 guy.
I know just about everything about them.

Your cats can come off, but know this, youll go blind behind the car.

Your fumes will kill wildlife and the elderly.

The headlight mod is extreemly expensive. It's offered by a couple different companys. The cats are the first thing to change to add alot of power. My experience hasen't shown as much extra exhaust smoke as Sniper X indicated there might be.

you can take out the cats - So, I have heard... taking out the cats (or gutting) will be pure loud (some like some don't. I do...) smelly... yeah, Sniper X is right about that...

IMO, Yeah sure take them out. If you want to replace them.. go for a high flo cat... & headers... or a MP/DP.. I believe. Or am I wrong?

Hm, if you're talking about the C West headlight conversion, I heard they are pretty expensive. I want some myself! No money though

And no the headlight mod I am talking about is like taking out a fuse or something so the lights don't pop up.

just take out the healight fuse and turn on the headlights. They will then shine through the FTPs.

or you can rig a switch into your car to disable the fuse through a relay possibly.
But you can also do the sleep eye mod (same thing but you have to time when you take out the fuse, or lower/raise the headlights by the handcrank)

fuse for the headlights is located in the fuse box under the hood. The way I did it was i had someone flip the lights on, while i was under the hood, then pull the fuse out right when you hear the lights come up for a sleepy look.

If you want, you can then adjust them manually. The adjuster peices (i dont know what else to call them..) are underneith the car next to the light.
