Well i guess ill start of by introduceing myself. My name is Levi im 23 years old living in canada ,british columbia, prince george. I recently bought a 79 rx-7 with 54000 km on it pretty much mint little rust around wheel wells will post pics soon.The question i got is that i had heard if a rotary engine sits too long its bad and could blow gaskets and stuff when u try to start it? My cars been in a shed for 13 years... So before iI fire the baby up i want everything tip top so i dont wreck anything. What steps and precations should i take?

Strangely enough, I just answered a very similar question but about a 1983 RX-7....with that many years on it, though, I'd pop the spark plugs and get a bore scope in there to see if there's signs of serious internal rust.
