Hopefully the weasels aren't able to swindle the court as easily as they did a mentally challenged older woman. The dealer and employees aren't likely to get the max sentences mentioned, but substantial penalties would seem to be in order.
Rooking that woman for $25000+ is likely going to cost them a great deal more in lost sales, let alone penalties now.

Worth noting that even though you'd expect with the long recession that dealers would be more ready to deal than ever, but Consumers Reports and others say dealer tricks and dirty tactics are at an all-time high generally, as they try to squeeze as much out of each sale as possible. Just a general heads up.
Not surprised at all!!! Been in a couple of times and always left there feeling weird. Sales department that is. The thing that gets me is when you drive by orangeville mazda you wouldnt even know its a mazda dealer!!! The whole front row is demestic used crap!! A couple of years ago when they switched owners to the one they have now, i drove through the lot with my 7 on one of my saturday cruises. This young salesman starts talking **** like"trade it in i'll give you $5 for it". All i can say he wasnt talking **** when i got out of the car and started walking towards him. lol
Wow now I feel like a complete idiot for working there...oh well its not a life thing anyway and they don't even have a guarantee for techs..no wonder business was slow and I just ****** started there...

Well that's good news! glad to see they didn't wait till the trial and let this As##$## continue business as usual. lol.. mabye they can open a pontiac dealership. jk
No its not good news, I worked my *** off to get into this ******* dealership and this **** happens all because of some ******* ******** and horrible salesmen they pulled the contract now people in the service department lost they're jobs because of it, is that good to you guys too?
Sorry to hear that Mike.
Unfortunately when stuff like this hits the media, corporate seems to over-react in an effort to save face. And of course, people will think the whole dealership is at fault.

Yeah its extremely annoying, like how is it our fault in service? I guess all is well in the world if they're jobs and money are secure not everyone elses. Whats dumb is they asked me and 1 mechanic to stay apparantly we're supposed to turn into a used car dealership...but I'm pretty sure 80% of the staff were fired. Including service advisors, mechanics, salesman etc.
Sorry to hear that! it is unfortunate and unfair when honest people pay for the personality flaws of others. Hopefully you find a better job, outside of their involvement!
While I'm sorry other people get caught up in this type of **** unfortunately this is what they deserve. Be it Mazda, Ford, BMW or any other manufacturer none of them would do any different under the same type of focus. This isn't the only reason they have their dealership pulled as there are many complaints against them. Sorry about your luck Mike and I hope you can find another job at another Mazda dealership.

so, i read that this dealership has re-opened as "motion mazda" now with new owners and management. hopefully they will run an honest business and restore the current orangeville mazda owners' trust.
