I got an ultimate compliment at yesterdays Cars n Coffee
Walking back to my car after walking the lot, a gentleman was checking out my car. He asked a number of questions about the parts chosed to put it together with special intereste in my CAMP virtual gauge set up. Then he pulled out a recorder and actually started a formal interview. After the interview he asked if I would consider selling my S5 TurboVert. Considering how difficult it would be to duplicate and the personal value of the journey finding the parts and putting it together with my friends, ect like so many of us have, I declined.
In retrospec, I should have asked what he would be interested in paying. He gave me his card, and my eyes just about popped out when I realized it was Gerald Wiegert. If you don't know who that is, Google his name. His story is akin to DeLorean's in he produced his own car called the Vector. His initial concept was to use the Wankle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Wiegert), thus his interest perhaps. Maybe he would have considered a straight across trade for one of his new ones?

I wouldn't. If the vector breaks down guess who is the only man who can fix it and get parts for it? Guess how much he will charge? Whatever he feels like since he has no competition.
Cool story. Maybe you should ask him if you can test drive some of his cars he built and vise versa so perhaps he can base his next car off of yours?

I would like to apologize since this joke is getting out of control. I asked my boy to pretend he is "Gerald Wiegert, and to hand out a fake business card to all RX-7 owner particularly a turbo vert.
