i am trying to find a rx7 shop in the raleigh area. i heard a couple stories about one being near the fairground but i have yet to find it. If anyone knows anything just let me know, thanks.

Are you looking to get engine work done? I live in Charlotte but I just bought a 90 vert from a guy in Raleigh who rebuilt the engine and did some other work on it. He is a former rotary drag racer and has built a couple hundred engines he told me. The engine feels strong so far. He was recently laid off from his job but I bet he would look at doing some engine work if that is what you need. Let me know and I'll share his contact info. I don't think he would be too interested in other types of repairs.

 

There is a place called Sports and Compacts in Raleigh near the fairgrounds, not exactly a rotary shop. Other than that there really isn't one. What do you need done?

 

Kevin Landers Rotary Resurection cant be to far away. He is a good guy, and I have had him work on my stuff.

 

Kevin's in Tennessee, there's also RotorSports Racing in Kannapolis outside Charlotte. Bruce Turrentinein in Fuquay-Varina use to do rebuilds but is only doing aviation and Renesis rebuilds now I think.

 

yea I know kevins in tn I just take my stuff to him anyway. I would rather travel alittle and take it to someone I like and feel confortable with

 

Rotorsports in kannapolis (charlotte) is where i used to take my car to. He is VERY knowledgable, cheap too.

I used to be stationed in Goldsboro and would drive my FD all the way over there.

 

I've had work done by McNair Perfromance near the airport in Raleigh. The address is 6404 Westgate rd 919-781-3604. They work on all rotaries. I had a front cover replaced and many other things done. They were honest and fast. The other shop near the fairgrounds has one guy on staff that understand rotaries but I never had any work completed by them.
