After ordering a set of multipeice work wheels only to watch them wobble on the wheel balance machine and being told that those were within tolerable specs from work... and the tire shop saying that most multipeice wheels are worse and this set is pretty good... I've completely given up on multipeice wheels.
The wheel repair shop refuses to touch them as they are hollow and taking any material off to "balance" could compromise the structure.

Therefore i'm looking for some bad *** single peice wheels on black fd's. I dont like those double 5 star spoke type wheels but I do dig the concave look.

Are the gullflame just te37 knockoffs? I'd also be looking at the max possible offset to clear stoptechs and also run monster meat. These dont have anything in 40+

 

^ you shoulda said that you wanted to run monster meat on those wheels. when you said multi piece and concave face I thought you wanted an aggressive fitmet. got luck finding some in +40.
the gullflames are not knockoff wheels. the te37's have 6 spokes, the flames have 7.
what tire size do you want to run OP?

Wait... could we start with your unballancable wheels? All I hear on this forum is how Work wheels are hot ****, well I'd send those pieces of crap back and tell them to give you a straight set. I've never heard of that problem with Fikse, CCW or Kenesis... at least not to the extent that it's a problem.

The OP is not a troll. He did have some issues with his wheels, I was trying to work with him on it for a while....

 

Going to have a diffcult time finding a wheel with a lot of concave or deep dish with a +40 offset.

 

Actually the wheel shop told me the best are oem wheels for straightness hence their cost. They have seen all of those brands you've listed wobble and said that I am fortunate I only have one wheel that wobbles like that. Work will not take them back as they are within Work specs. Also they will not sell me just a new barrell, no japaense company will because they dont want to be liable if it's not put back together right, which defeats the purpose of multi peice wheels. Therefore I'm done with multi peice.

 

Well concave might be nice but I dont really care about a "dish" so to speak. I want a set of square one peice track wheels so I can rotate 285's all around min. Budget unlimited but I dont want any CF wheels dont trust them and the companies that supply them could easily fold if a problem with their wheel resulted in a lawsuit or death.

 

Have you taken a look at SSR's Competition line?

GT2 18x10.5 +43, 285/30/18, concave face

 

SSR Integral GT2 is discontinued.

The Type C-RS and the Type F are the only ones available.

SSR Type F comes in a 18 x 9.5 + 40

SSR Type C comes in a 18 x 9.5 + 36

If you want 10.5, the Type F only comes in a + 15 and + 25

 

Check out the Volks CE28N's. Light, good strength and you can get good sizes (not my car):

so your issue would be this.

Stock fenders with 10" wide wheel to accomodate 285*30 would require a +50 offset and aftermarket trailing arms.

Finding a one piece wheel with that fitment is going to be extremely difficult. After the 350Z came around all the 10.5" wheels pretty much went to low offset only.

So i honestly think you will need to get wide fenders up front, roll the rear fenders and run lower offsets because it will be much easier to find. Your other option would be to run multipiece US Made wheels.

In regards to Work Wheels, MANY OF THEIR 3 PIECE WHEELS ARE WELDED, as a result they can't be taken apart. The MEISTER S1 3 PIECE HAS BARREL REPLACEMENTS.

Ok cool, at least people know about that now.

 

SSR still makes the Type C-RS in 17 x 10.5 in a + 45 offset until i think they run out of stock. CCW's Corsair lineup goes up to 13 inches wide too, and single piece. I am sure they can make custom offsets.

 

But then you're limited by tire options. I recently heard of only 1 company making a 285/35/17.

That fitment even in 18" would require some fender mods with a square tire fitment.
