Hello to everyone.

I registered to get some information. I just started auto crossing this year (Went to my first event about on may 3). A friend of mine let me drive his car for it, and I truly enjoyed myself. My problem is that I personally don't have a suitable car (I have very old, gigantic domestics) for the racing, and have started looking for something simple, with a following. That's what sent me here. I have a friend that has a Gen1 for sale, and another that has 2 gen1's for parts. What should I be looking for in any of these vehicles? Is there specific things that fail on these cars? Are they any good for auto cross (another friend of mine drives a rx8, but no rx7's)? Is the motor actually simple? Any specific questions I should ask them?
