need some advise on rebuild vs. swap

So my car has 170K miles on her, so i started to worry about it blowing on me in the near future, I had also spotted a turbo 2 in the junk yard with a "mostly" complete engine and trans. I picked it up with the intentions of a rebuild for a very good price.

There are a bunch of little parts that are needed to make the engine complete, but on the upside, when i took it apart i found that there were no blown seals, and the housings/ rotors were in very good shape. So i start to price everything, and it will be well over the cost of buying a turbo swap.

So i started thinking about parting out the engine (knowing now that it has all good internals) and using that money to buy a swap, my problem is, how reliable will an engine be that "has only x amount of miles" compared to me rebuilding this engine, and knowing the miles/condition

So if anyone has any insight on the subject it would be much appreciated

unknown condition turbo blocks go for about $300-$400. i would put all the turbo stuff into whichever chassis is cleanest. if the motor blows, then worry about rebuilding it.

I must have put that wrong, i pulled the engine from the turbo 2 at the junk yard, so i have one car, 2 enignes, the turbo engine is in pieces, and i have seen that everything is usable in it, but the price of rebuilding/ gathering all necessary parts will out weigh the cost of a swap, so im thinking about parting out the turbo engine, and using that to buy a complete swap.
