I have gt35r and it is great turbo. Car made 340rwhp at 12psi on stock port and 93 pump gas. I am going to add meth injection but only use it for insurance. So, what is best turbo to make most hp on pump gas with stock ports? I am thinking about changing my turbine to see how much more it will make.

 

340rwhp is already a really good number @ 12psi on stock ports. At higher hp levels, I'd worry more about the stock 3-piece apex seals if I were you, or you'll end up spitting one out into your nice gt35r. I've just had and seen nothing but bad luck with the stock seals. They tear up everything once they go. Oh, and by the way, detonation isn't the only thing that causes one of those seals to finally let go.

 

you're gonna get sooo many different answers. The reality is that there are a ton of variables. If you're engine was new and you knew the condition of the motor, then It'd be easier to give you a better educated guess, but if your motor is used and you can't 100% verify the quality of the motor, then your guess is in the wind. I'd stick with what you have. it's a really good number.

 

most people see about the same power on pump gas because on 93 octane alot of tuners wont go above 16 psi and thats low to mid 400 whp on a proper well tuned car

 

Your question seems unwarranted since you are only pushing 12psi with your GT35R. And you mention alky injection, at what boost? Not even needed for 15psi on street gas.

I have been running 15 and 15.5 with my almost stock ports and GT35R T3 1.06
for almost three years.

 

since you say most power on pump means 15psi max or else some other safety like meth injection etc. big tubros dont wake up until after 15psi so the gt35 u have now is the best choice and will usually make more power and sooner then any bigger turbo at 15psi.

I made 428 at 15psi on 93 with a street port for example....

 

What power where you seeing with that set up?

 

I made 512 with pump and meth. I think the 600 hp barrier can be cracked with pump and meth.

Biggest turbo.

There needs to be a goal involved here - you can strap a GT45 onto that motor and make 500 on pump fuel with a teency weency smidge of boost.......but it will be for only 1% of your powerband.

 

im fairly certain the 600hp has already been cracked by pump/meth or maybe even pump/water. check the AI section to make sure though.
