You know the ones, with the stupid patterns in the middle.

Trying to figure out the best way to remove them with the least heartache.

Find a 12 point socket just smaller than the lug and hammer it on. Now you can remove the lug with a ratchet, breaker bar or impact gun.

 

1 socket per lug?? or can you get the lug back out of the socket?

 

They're pretty much stuck together after that Plan on four sockets.

If you have access to a welder and depending on the clearance of the wheel and the lugnut you can also weld a plain nut onto the end of the lug.

 

what kind of locking lugs are they?

 

Sears sells a kit to remove those locking lugs.

 

Kinda defeats the purpose of the locking lugs to begin with , huh.

 

Sorta like car alarms only keep honest people honest.

 

think I'll try the welder idea and forgo using 4 sockets

doubtful, and I'm pretty sure the lockers are stainless. so much for the welding idea
