Ex Housing Glowing Red

Hello,
I have a XS Eng T04S kit that I've just about gotten done breaking in. I noticed that the exhaust housing glows a little bit dull red after I'm done driving it.

I know that this might mean that it's running rich (haven't dyno tuned yet), but could it also maybe just be normal? I'm not too sure what a single turbo car should do.

My mods:

Street Port
T04S
M2 IC
3 inch full exhaust
Power FC tuned by XS (base map, not dyno tuned yet)
1300 cc secondaries
HKS Twin Power

Thanks,
Brian

A little glow after a hard drive is normal.
If it starts getting bright red, it could be a sign of other problems-

doesn't running rich or lean (to a point over perfect A/F) make it run hotter?

Leaner definetly equals hotter, richer equals cooler, but if gas is burning in the turbo, the temps will still be high.
Glowing exhaust can also be a sign of to much ignition retard as well..Max

Maybe I was just thinking about flame backfires
kinda forgot/decided not to face the obvious that you get A/F from EGT

Same way with an oxy/acx torch. Throw the O2 to it and man it gets hot...

If it glows a litte after driving, its just heat. Nothing to worry about.

If it is glowing bright red after cruising, there is a possible problem.

I definitely wouldn't characterize it as bright red. It's a dull red. Like 10% red mixed with 90% black. It fades within a couple of minutes after I shut off the car.

if the exhuast housing/manifold/dump pipe isn't glowing, u ain't trying hard enough.

seriously though, it's normal. after a good thrash my turbo and manifold will glow red hot.
just let the engine run for a few minutes before shuting it off.
