I guess the question is what can really be used form the 20b. I don't want to pay for turbos etc if they can't be used. I understand that the ecu will need to be changed, but from a complete engine and tranny what gets tossed away or sold and what is kept.

 

It all depends on what you are going to be using in your setup. Some people use almost everything, from tranny to turbo's.

I personally only used the irons, the e-shaft, oil pan, and the upper/lower intake manifolds. Everything else from the 20b is collecting dust in the garage.
The rest of the parts are from an FD, (housings, TB, accesories), or bought new/custom made (subframe, turbo kit, mounts, coils, EMS, IC, fuel system, etc.)

So figure out what you want, and what you dont. if you save money now, you'll have it to buy stuff later on.

On my next 20b project, i'm doing things a little different, but i'll essentially just be using the irons and e-shaft.
