well i took my car to dyno day here in little rock, AR and thought i'd post the #'s my car is pretty much stock: ~50,xxx on rebuilt s4 turbo motor w/ 3mm apex seals, stock ports. hks f-con ecu, fcd, custom filter on shortened stock intake piping(about 2 feet before the turbo) and boost creeping to about 10.5 psi. these numbers were made with a fan blowing on the stock intercooler inbetween pulls.



p.s. forgot to mention i also have a 2.5in. downpipe and a deleted cat, i believe it is 2.5in too but the rest of the exhaust is stock

 

you might have a little bit of ignition breakup there

 

Get rid of the stock exhaust and get a mid pipe.

Pretty good numbers......but you should stop referring to your car as "Pretty much stock".

 

Actually, his smoothing is on "5" so if you were to look at that chart with smoothing on "0" you would see a LOT more breakup.

yeah. i would call my car pretty much stock. just a non-programmable piggyback and a half *** exhaust, but i guess everyone sees it different. and the piece that goes from the dyno to the ignition wire was ******* up on a lot of cars all day. plus what are everyone else peak #'s at?

peak is usually at about 7000-7200 on stock well running engines, modified it can range from 7500-8000 or higher.

 

I peaked 401 at about 6500 or so..

No, its more of an indication of your turbo match to your motors natural torque peak.

 

so is there any way to tell what's going on with mine. i guess maybe it's getting close to being inefficient?

Nope, you just dont have enough turbo..

 

my t2 peaked at 7500 when I had it dyno'd. I was only running 6 psi though. I made 203.6rwhp after sae corrections. I think one of the reasons mine peaked so high is because of the tubular turbo manifold. Here's a link to my dyno if you want to check it out. That is my old setup. oh and i've kept forgetting to add the video of it, not the best quality and i think the fan was blowing on the cameraman so it's hard to hear but hey, it's a video. also Dom, why did you make so much power? i figured mine was decent considering i still have the stock turbo and intercooler. what temperature did you dyno at?

I don't know why I made so much power, my mods are listed in that thread. I was surprised with my power as well at such low boost.
