I weighed my baby today :)
today i was really bored, so i stopped by the local landfill, pull up on the scales and the lady goes "is this all your gonna weigh?" lol
i had ~6gallons of gas, and my tire chains in the car, still have the stock exhaust system, it weighed in at 2440lbs
what about everyone elses weights

oh yea, you could get it to 2200#, mine is at 2440 with a full interior, ive removed the a/c system, it has no p/s system, and the brackets for that stuff, stock 14" rims and stock exhaust.
i think i can get to 2300 with racing seats and a full exhaust, and maybe a lexan hatch or a lighter hood

my weighs in the neighboorhood of 2500-2550, the scale weighs in increments of 50. i have interior and and a sunroof. nothing else though. dual exhaust though, w/ o cats, and the heavy stock manifold.
My totally stock 86 with no sunroof, aluminum hood, 14" wheels, and manual steering, windows, mirrors, and all fluids topped off weighed 2620 on a 20lb-incerment scale. The only aftermarket parts in it at the time were a CD changer and tape deck.
Interestingly, another 86 I had weighed in at 2600 with all fluids topped off. What was disappointing was that I had removed the A/C, much of the interior, and even one of the front seats. To its discredit was the fact that it had a sunroof, power steering, and some really nice-looking but relatively heavy Mustang 17x8's. I didn't remove nearly as much as I could have from the interior, but for the 20lbs I saved over the other car, this one was much less comfortable a daily commuter.
Lesson here: If you want a light FC, start with a non-sunroof car, then ditch everything you don't need. Hell, in Japan, they got that pig of a TII down to 2700 lb (Infini III) while maintaining a nice interior. Add to that the 215hp in stock trim, and you really had yourself a car. Too bad they never made it over here...

actually as weird as it sounds i just read a aritcle the other day on this forum which stated the infini did a 0- 60 run in 7.3 seconds, making it slower than the turbo II. i think it was a motor trend article. im sure if you do a search youll find it. the article even said they were surprised it was slower!
lol vosko, i weigh 220lbs, so it would be 2660 with me inside
not bad since stock weight is 2652 with no fluids
but ive noticed some models weigh less than others, and most of the early 86 models with mods seem to run a lot quicker than the newer counter-parts with mods, i dont know why but it seems that way ive got a few guys i talk to on here that say their buddies have 86's that are hella quick with just very little bolt on's.

My '89 T2 weighed in at 2940# (+/- 10#) with a full tank of gas, some tools in it, no radio or speakers, no a/c, no rear hatch cover thingey, and no rear rubber mat. I was not in it at the time. Other than that, it was mostly stock at the time (about a year ago).
