OMG THIS IS A BIG HELP!!! but now i need to find the cash to buy the plates. i am going to start some competition drifting and time attacks in my area after the winter and a tighter LSD will work wonders for me( fully locked anyone? lol) if anyone is going to fully rebuild their LSD i would urge that you fully devote a thread to this and post tons of pics of the process so that we can do them ourselves without being charged out the @$$ for labor from a shop.

This past weekend my 85 GSL LSD started slipping under power at an autocross. When exiting a turn the car would roast the inside V710. I came home and found this thread. I took the diff apart and followed "OLD RX7's" directions. I ended up cutting .019 off of the Left diff housing.
I got the car back together today, the LSD definitely works now, maybe a little too good. I'm going to have to drive it a little more to let the clutches re-seat but man does it lock. Driving very slow in a tight circle you can hear the inside tire grab and then start turning again, not much but a little, as soon as I apply power it locks and it will spin both tires We'll have to see...
Thanks for the thread, it was very helpfull.
