0.63A/R too small for 13B-REW?

Just went single turbo and i am happy with the results. The main componets include a turbonetics 62-1 0.63A/R hotside, Microtech EMS, Fabricated exhaust manifold, 3 inch exhaust, removed catalyst and resonator. Have not upgraded fuel system nor intercooler yet. The engine is a stock 13B-REW recently rebuilt.
I have not dynoed the car yet but there is significant increase in power from stock twins and full boost (15psi)comes up around 3500 rpm.
I wanted to know if i switch to a similar turbo with say a 1.0A/R, would there be a dramatic increase in top end power and how much more lag will it induce.

Too small for most people...

Not surprising...
But you're choking the motor out from about 6kRPM on...
The response must be pretty good?

Yes, it will.
