Wastegate spring question.. are they special springs?

Is there anything special about a wastegate spring? Im assuming its a high(er) quality spring made of metal(s) that will withstand alot of heat etc etc

Im wondering though, if i can just go to a hardware store and buy springs there.

well, each WG has different diameter springs and different chamber heights...so if you buy a spring at a hardware store, you are in uncharted water.

Im aware of all that. I think ill just give it a shot. Ill keep the fuel cut settings set low on my standalone for engines safty sake and try getting a spring to get my boost down to 6-7lbs w/o a controler
