Flaco Racing: New 20B & turbo combo - 6:79@*209*
Guys,
Just wanted to let you know that Abel ran a clean 6:79 @ 209 mph tonight in qualifying at the Las Vegas NHRA Sport Compact qualifier. A small tire shake hurt overall ET. We'll be running elminations tomorrow (Saturday) and hope to improve on this performance.
This is the firt time we've been able to run our new turbo and engine combo (no testing at all). We are happy with the new found power, reflected in the improved Mile-an-Hour. There is a very conservative tune on the car, and boost was kept moderate.
Hope to have better news tomorrow. Wish us luck... It's hard work to keep up with those piston boys!

Unfortunately, Abel red-lit in the first round today. The car produced a little more boost on the line than expected, which played a part in the situation, but Abel didn't make excuses.... he screwed up! He wanted to thank everyone for the support!!
Looking for a few more good showings this season!

K&N was signed-on as a title-sponsor, and not as technical sponsor, for all those years. So there was no real expectation of technology transfer with them. It was a marketing partnership that worked out great for all involved.
