New to the club, looking for San Diego shops

Hi all,
I am new to the RX7 scene. My brother just gave me his 93 3rd gen twin turbo. So I am looking for some advice and shops in the San Diego area.
First I am looiking for reputable shops in San Diego ? Honesty, knowledge and support of the marque are my biggest requirements. Let me know your personal experience with the shop.
Advise - Currently I have no boost. The car sat alot in recent months during the winter back East. I drove it on a visit there in Jan and it worked OK. I visited again about 2 months ago and no boost. It was not moved in between visits. My brother says it is some tube about 4" on the left side related to the turbos that has probably weathered and now leaks. Said it would be obvious.
On my initial 10 min. investigation I could not find what he was refering to. Do I need to take off the intake to dig further ?
Thoughts ?
Help ?
Thanks

Found an awesome link in the 3rd gen section http://www.autosportracetech.com/RX-...leshooting.htm, now just need to go searching under hood. Looks like I am probably going to look for a '99 J-Spec Y pipe replacement. Need to find an aftermarket shop that sells it.
Still need a good shop. Especially that might sell aftermarket parts in San Diego.

does your new FD happen to be red with a tan interior? someone where i work just got one.

as far as your leak goes, I would inspect all the hoses near the intake that are visibile. are you sure your brother was not talking about the nipple that comes off the upper intake manifold? if there is not a hose connected to it and nothing is covering it. that might be it.

where in san diego are you at? I might be able to take a look at it sometime. If its just a hose, its an easy fix. But nothing on rx7 is ever easy

Any install work you need done to your ride, you should contact Seth at Pure Sports. They were formerly SPD. Located up in Ramona. They know their stuff up there.

Also any parts you need for an install on your car they should be able to get it for you. I don't think they do general part sales anymore. But if they are working on your car they may be able to hook you up, or at least get the parts needed for the upgrades/repairs.

Congrats on the FD.. this your first Rx7?

Thanks for the info

The car is Red with a Black interior. Big exhaust and I just found a turbo timer in the glove compartment and a radar detector (wonder what that is for. . .)

First RX I have owned.
I autoXed a GTU when they first came out in '89 and my friends Turbo a couple of times before that. Drove this one back East in the snow.

(255 HP + Rear wheel drive + wide tires + turbo boost) + snow = lots of fish tails and donuts (most on purpose - that was fun ! )

Next time I went back there was no snow, but I had no boost, not as much fun
So I shipped it here

I am planning to use this for AutoX and possibly some road race.
I just started cleaning and inspecting the car. I should be able to find this leak, but according to my borther, nothing is easy on this car.

I hope to make it out to the BBQ. I live in Tierrasanta

Selling my race car (any takers ?)

The wife says this has to go

<br>
To make room for this
