Unhappy Results of my TPS Resistance check, good or bad?

I was testing out my TPS on my 87 TII and this is what I got. I adjusted the idle setting to 1.00K ohms and when I crank it to full throttle it reads about 5.23 K ohms. Which is within specs. BUT, the problem is...when I crank the throttle open from idle, it rises towards 5.23K..but reaches 5.23K at 1/4 throttle and stays like that till I get to full throttle! So basically its telling my computer I guess that I'm at full throttle when I'm only at 1/4 throttle? Is this TPS bad then?...the car drives fine as far as I know, just wondering if I should worry about this.

the 86-88 tps only goes to 30% throttle, so yours is right. you should be able to see at over 30% throttle the tps isn't even toching anything anymore.
