So I have an S5 N/A engine I want to rebuild

I was planning on getting the RA rebuild kit ($550) since the rotors and housing were still in near flawless condition... However, I want to upgrade to a TII motor JDM, which I have found with 30,000 km along with a tranny shipped for $1,000.

I'm really strapped for cash at the moment and I wanna get this 7 working as soon as possible. I have the option of either rebuilding the N/A or saving a little longer and buying the TII.

Would it be worth it to rebuild the N/A motor and sell it as a rebuilt in order to buy the TII motor? How much do they usually sell for?

Thanks for your help guys.

I would sell the S5 block "as is" rather than try and sell a rebuild. Since you have no track record as an engine builder, you probably would not make any money at all (once you factor in the cost of the rebuiild kit).

If you want to get rid of the motor as-is what do you want for it? That or I could port and rebuild it for you. Shoot me a PM I'm down in San Diego County about 30 minutes from Irvine.
