Hello Everyone.

Date has been set!

April 8th - 10th, 2005 (Saturday, April 9th, 2005 being the main day).

This is the plan... I am going to see if I could get some sponsors to throw a FREE lunch BBQ for all the participating drivers. PLEASE VOTE on the poll so that we know how many we should expect. Also, T-shirts will be made to celebrate this 1st annual event ($7-10 each).

Please also pass on the word to other non-forum rotorheads!

Looks like I might be at Calderwood Dam in the first week of January. (TN side)

I'm there and most likely a few of the SC crew will make it. I won't be able to get there until later Friday evening, but hey, at least I'm coming!

Phil, the info on the calendar is linked to the MRCCAL home page. I think we need to update the events page if we want people to know the low-down. It still has the info for the July 25th car show.

I'd love to come. Been 2 or 3 times in the Miata; twice in the 8. Are you all planning to stay in any particular lodging area? Hopefully that early in April there'll be few other groups or cyclists in the area. I love unencumbered runs of the Gap!

I just talked to someone at Historic Fontana Village.

they are willing to give us 20% off of the Cottages and 30% off the hotel.

this is the biggest place around and willing to let us use their banquet room for free.
Also they have all you can eat buffet!! my favorite for $15.

What do you guys think about this place??

Phil, I was going to Fontana in the 60's as a kid and loved it! IT is a GREAT place to go.

I 'll be there, would not miss the chance to break in my new RX8, I wonder what the gap looks like when things aren't all blurry? heres my chance to find out.......NO running off GA400 at 100 mph on this trip. No sir re bob. Look forward to another mtn run gentlemen.

As of now I will be there. But seeing how far away April his, who knows what the future holds! I really hope to make this event, I've been wanting to go forever!
