Premium gas for $1.33 a gallon!!!

I was driving down to work this morning, when I saw a gas station on a side street which had regular for $.99, plus for $1.19, and super for $1.33. I haven't bought regular for under $1.09 for at least 3-4 years. I was pretty low so I filled it up (with super). I fully expected my A/F meter to read more lean from not-great gas, but everything seemed OK. The station was an Argo in Medford, MA. Do you think it's OK to use this stuff? Prices ranged from $1.41 to $1.57 for super at other stations.

woah cheep! stuff here usually runs around 2.09 a gallon for 92, but since the sep 11 thing, prices have oddly lowered to around 2.01.

about buying really cheap gas, well it's supposed to be government regulated, but u never know with "little earl's gas shop" hehe i guess you get what you paied for.

btw, don't run anything under super, the owners manual even states so. nothing under 91 please or you could be looking for a new engine.

Goodness. I guess I take the comforts of the south for granted. I have been lucky enough to find premium gas for 1.23 a gallon in NC. I couldn't imagine paying $2.00+/gallon! I guess I better enjoy it while I can.....

[brag] Today when I filled up at Sunoco, Ultra (94) was $1.299 a gallon [\brag]

But I do remember paying around $1.80 over the summer.

Hey folks, I really don't want to burst anyones bubble, but I work down in Revere where they got the giant fuel tanks for a company called Global. It's where the tankers drop off refined gas. Global is one of the main distributors for the Boston area, and I've seen just about every gas companies truck at the Global depot getting fuel. I believe that the only company that doesn't get it's fuel from Global in the Boston area is Mobil/Exxon. I'm sure that global does keep different octanes and formulations, but I doubt that they keep more that 5-6 types available. So the moral of the story is if you're getting gas in Boston, it's more likely than not that you're getting Global gas.

Yesterday I filled up. 89 was $1.04, 91 was $1.14, and 93 was $1.24. I wonder how low it will get, and how long it will stay?

Hey it was only $1.05 for super in Edmond, OK this last Sunday, BUT our super is only 91 octane. Might be a few pennies lower this weekend

In the Atlanta area, I've seen regular for $0.94. And Premium at Amoco for around $1.25. The smaller stations go as low as $1.15 for their premium.

Anyone know the price of gas in WI/IL? Last time I went up there, regular was like $2.05.

Not to brag to you yanks... But gas down here was @ $.87 at the cheap places (Albertsons) and $.93-$.97 at the regular places (Exxon % cheveron). Well I guess living around all of these refineries is kind-of a bonus if you engine isnt blown

Gas prices

Not too shabby. here in Jacksonville, FL., its $1.25 for premium at the Shell gas station down the road. not the best prices, but definately not the worst!

I'm glad I don't live where you guys live, that is some expensive gas.

Lets see, Exxon here is 87-$.87, 89-$.96, and 93-$.99 and the other stations, like Wawa, Sunoco, Amaco, are about the same give or take a penny. How I love filling up the Rex and the dollar amount is under the fuel amount. God I love Gas wars.

Ummm Mobil is a division of Exxon. To my knowledge they pump the same fuel, check out http://www.mobil.com/mobil_gas/web-mobilgasolines.html and http://www.exxon.com/exxon_gas/web-exxongasolines.html notice they are identical.
