I hear that the old taurus and fiero fans work. I do know that an old escort fan will work. Thats what I am using of course. You should be able to just use some long zip ties to attach it.

Its some bank but a flex-a-lite 310 fan twin line fits perfectly, and pulls 2100 cfm. Also comes with an adjustable thermostat. When I say perfect, I mean, perfect. Even has weatherstripping to make sure all air is pulled from the rad and not from outside it.

Early 90's 3.8 V6. I got the same one from a Lincoln. I got the relay as well from here.

I think this continuous duty solenoid would work as a cheaper alternative to switching on that high amperage fan.

I have a lincoln 3.8l fan that is exactly like the 3.8l taurus 3.8l fan except it is hispeed only. The taurus fans have 2 speed fans but we can only wire them up for either hi or low speed anyway.

I'll sell it to you. I couldn't get it to fit my 1980 and I didn't want to remove my AC stuff or relocate my radiator.

PM me if you are interested.

if it didnt fit your 80 it probably wont fit my 80 radiator which is mounted in a 73 corolla, i have less space than most people.... i thought the 3.8l fan was very thin....

Are you sure about that. The Lincoln I got it from has the dual speed fan. (3 wires coming from it, 1 ground, 1 low speed, 1 high speed).

I'm wiring mine up for 2 speeds. I'm doing the wiring diagrams and when I actually do it I'll post pics, wiring diagram, components and cost.
