Lookin at getting Konis fo rthe beast when she gets rollin, but I want to knwo which springs are the stiffest. My friend has 800lb on his supra, they're from Eibach, I've seen 650 on the Apex coilover set-up, but I just want the springs. Who makes hte stiffest? Thanks.

Hypercoil makes springs with rates of WELL over 1000lbs. Hypercoils are renowned for having excellent quality springs, many race series, including Nascar and CART use Hypercoil springs

 

Thanks fo rhte info any pricing and vendors? Also over 1000 maybe a tad high anything over 600 though Im up for looking at. I'd prefer linear springs, I have progressive springs on the MR2 Spyder stock, and they are just too cushy at higher speeds. I'm sure a stiffer progressive would work, but anyone get back to me with anything and thanks again Speed.

For the highest grip, get the SOFTEST springs that keep you from bottoming out or rubbing your tires on the fenders too much. Of course, with the car lowered this is often quite a bit stiffer than stock. Another approach would be to get stiff springs and then lower the car until you start to bottom out and then raise it up a bit. But generally, stiff springs and high grip are not the same thing.

How about choosing a spring rate your shocks can handle? Or am I misunderstanding your priorities and you are not looking for grip? Is it some macho thing - whose teeth rattle loose last?

Racing Beat Springs will be plenty stiff on an FD.

 

Tanabe Super H springs are stiff as hell. Prob the stiffest springs out of the different set ups i've had.
