S5 J-Spec TII Primary Fuel Rail
The Primary Fuel Rail to my s5 J-Spec doesn't have a vacuum nipple running off It. How does It compensate for the loss of the air line that our version has?
the pressure regulator and vacuum fitting is on the secondary fuel rail. the one that is on the lower intake manifold.
the primary rail is the one that is on the center side plate. it has the pulsation dampner on it. looks kinda like a fpr, but no vacuum to it

Fuel rails have no vac nipples. The FRP has a vac nipple.
On US engines the FPR is on the secondary rail, on Japanese engines the FPR is on the primary rail.
Silver, are you saying neither rail has a FPR fitted?

A real bugger adjusting Idle/fuel on a freshly rebuilt BIG streetported Motor on an EMS.What I'd like to know Is why Is the J-Spec (s5 - not sure about the s4) not have a vacuum nipple at the Pulsation Damper and how does It compensate for the lack of It? I have one for the FPR.

NONE of the pulsation dampners have a vacuum line.
???
And FPR has a vacuum line, since it requires it to make normal fuel adjustments as manifold pressure changes. There is no need for a PD to have a vacuum line.

It doesn't. Look closely and you'll see that's a line passing behind the PD in the drawing. It doesn't connect to it. That's actually the FPR line going from the manifold to the solenoid.

Well. I'll be damned...looking closely reveals that you are correct and this was a waste of time on my part. It passes behind It rather than off It...so much for observancy.
