Where has all the Defi gone!?
Has anyone heard if the US distributor has gotten any Defi gauges in yet?
Especially the D-gauges...
I posted on this a month or so ago. It dissappeared. I guess it was killed during the server transition.

dawg...toward the end of LAST YEAR..like march/aprilish, i called up EVERY SINGLE PLACE that sold defi d gauges in black face that were listed on the internet...i mean EVERY one that came up. they all told me they're outta stock, and they're backordered..waitin on defi to come thru w/ 'em
ive been on wait for mine pretty much since april thru rx7trix....still haven't gotten 'em. i think it's pretty much gonna b a sit and wait kinda thing
from wut i gathered...defi still makes the gauges at teh same rate, yet w/ so many new turbocharged imports on the market all of a sudden, the demand has overwhelmed their supply...

*LAST* year!? Cripes! I've been waiting since June, but now THAT's horrible. I feel your pain. 
I emailed rx7store a week or so ago. Same deal. They dont have the boost gauge in black face.

ok i didnt mean last year as in 2002 lol. my bad. im still thinkin in terms of academic years...but yea ive been waitin since march/april 2003. but it's bout to hit the 8 month mark now...which is still pretty bad...
the good news is i DID get my black face water temp gauge...but that's it. apparently that's the only one they can get ahold of. boost and egt...forget it.
on the flipside, i think we'll get our gauges in time for the new rx7 in 2005/2006 tho

ditto..i ordered my bf seires gauges in black in like may and they still havent shown up. i got the water temp gauge in like a month but what the hell good is it if i dont have the link box that the boost gauge comes with...sigh...hopefully i get em for christmas

this was brought up a month or so ago. I explained what i knew about it. It just has to do with some jackassses here... rufusing shipments from japan....**** like that. Search. You will find it.

Hmmm.. putting 2+2 together from this thread... Maybe drugs were being smuggled in the gauges last time? Y'know, maybe freaked out some drug sniffin' dogs... SPI says "Uh.. no, that's not our shipment! Must be someone elses!"

I just got my D-gauges yesterday from EDO Performance. I will take a pic in a little bit and post it. They don't seem to be as amber as the other night pic I saw posted on here. Still pretty nice though. They match my Clarion stereo better than the stock gauges.
I would say about 3 weeks ago. I had an order with the RX7 store for awhile and I got tired of waiting but no one else had them either. So I emailed Defi directly and they told me to try EDO Performance. EDO claimed that they just sold their last ones but would get more in 2 weeks which must have been about right since I got mine about 3 weeks after I ordered them.
As for the picture...it looks alot closer to stock than it does in real life. The lights are a lighter amber than stock but you can't tell from the pic. This pic makes it look almost identical.

Basically, (since i guess my thread is gone), some jackass overhere refused the shipment (an already much needed one) and all the **** went back to japan. I have also heard that they should be here soon (month) so i dont think you will have to wait too much longer.

Anyway, EDO replied to an email and said something to the same effect... and that they don't go through SPI, which it seems everyone else does.
