what happens if i install a GM 3 bar map sensor without making the necessary adjustments to the PFC? the reason i'm asking is because my car will be tuned soon and i want to have that in place for tuning.

Toy,

You need to goto to OPTION 2, set scale to 41800, and offset to 0. The wiring is:

GM 3bar | Function | Rx7 Factory Wiring
A | GRND | Black/Grey
B | MAP SENSOR VOLTS | Greeen/Yellow
C | 5V | Brown/White

Your tuner ( ) should be able to adjust the pressure side of the map not to mention the RPM band so that you can use the sensor.

You can install it and have it all ready!

is this done on the commander or do i need the datalogit? also, if it can't be done on the commander, will just installing it and having it there instead of the stocker cause any problems, like drivability etc?

You can use the commander. I forget which screen it is but you can't miss it. Might be PIM screen? Has 5 options down the left side. I'll have to check my car when I get there.

Running without it setup properply will feel like you blew the map sensor hose off the car. Feels like you lost your engine! Let me know if you have any problems and I'll walk you though it.
