If the body and interior are in decent shape, has a clean title, the first one is a good deal...You can have a reman installed in there for around 4k...then you would have a fully working FD for just under 11k

 

Chances are though that it will require more than just a reman. Turbos, suspension, transmission and other engine components can add up if they need to be replaced.

Unless you have the extra cash laying around (and saying you need a loan to get a car less than $9000 doesn't sound like you have a lot of free cash), it would be better to find one in good condition that you won't have to shell out money right away. I'm not knocking you, but it gets expensive real fast trying to repair these cars. Just check the following thread:

As you see, most FD owners have put more than $6000 in their cars and most of those are people just replacing the engine and turbos, not even modifying the car.

It's possible to find a cheap FD in good condition, however it's not very likely. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for....
