84 Exhaust fit on 80?

wondering if the RB exhaust from the 1984 rex would fit my 80 if it came with the connecting pipe from the 84?

the one on ebay looks pretty tempting if it will fit.

It'll fit and you'll probably have to rig up a couple exhuast hangers tho. Other than that yes it will fit.

I'm not sure about the pre-silencer, but the 84 muffler has a longer pipe. I guess you could make it fit.

As long as its all off an 84 it will work for you since you have the right year engine for it.

seems like the 80 system has a longer connecting pipe that goes all the way over the axle... and the muffler meets it. and after that, the connecting pipe didnt go over the axle and the muffler pipe did.

but if it comes with the later connecting pipe, it should be all good right?

Maybe, but he wanted to use his 80 connecting pipe, which will not work without modification, and the 84 model had 3 different exhaust configurations, so it depends which one is for sale:
1) 84 12A MT
2) 84 12A AT
3) 84 13B

As far as I know in Europe all exhaust were the same, so probable if you'd use a whole system it would fit (as long as everything is MT if your car is MT, and AT if the car would be AT). It's just that you can't interchange parts of the systems.
