New questions on suspension woes.

Ok I have info on how to remedy the 1 1/2" of play in the steering wheel and how to stop the wheel from pulling out 1/2", but...

1. What part of the suspension can cause the wheel to be so hard to turn.

2. I have a serious problem with vibrations (severe) but only between 46 and 54 mph then it stops.

What parts do I NEED to look at to solve this, I am eventually going to replace all suspension components but cant afford it right now.

P.S. - If you know about timing and carbs check my other thread.

peace

1. hard steering might be as simple as poor tire pressure

2. Vibrations could be an unbalanced tire

Check these two as they're cheap and easy to fix.

I would rebalance them, we had to do it 3 time on my Miata once to get rid of the vibration.

It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut.

Anyways back to the question at hand. I think you should rebalance the tires. I'm not doubting your ability, just don't want you to spend money on something that doesn't need to be fixed.

second brother: And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, 'O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade that with it thou mayest blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy.' And the Lord did grin, and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals and fruit bats and large chu--

borther maynard: Skip a bit, Brother.

second brother: And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.'

brother maynard: Amen.
