Anything i should know when rebuilding a stock 12a Carb?

I got the rebuild kit from mazda today. 80 freaking dollars. But i got overnight shipping. the carb is already off. So is there amything special i should know when rebuilding it? It doesnt seem like it should be too hard, besides the thousands of vaccum tubes.

Since my gas tank was full of trash from a previous owner who tried to use cheap tank sealer in the tank im having to rebuild and clean my entire fuel line. Now ive got a new tank. WOO!

Just a few tips...

When you have the top air horn part of the carb off and all the airbleeds, emulsions tubes, nozzles etc. removed do not tip the carb upside down. There's little check ***** and weights located under the accelerator pump nozzle and under the plug adjacent to the accelerator pump. Do not loose these.

You should also acid dip the main body of the carb to clean out all the internal passages and then spray them with carb cleaner or compressed air to blow all the **** out. And if possible, have the fuel inlet screens cleaned ultra sonically as they're a bitch to get clean otherwise.

It's also a good idea not to use the paper gaskets that are supplied with the kit for the float bowl plugs as they tend to leak. Better to use the stock washers.

Check all the plastic tubes looking for fatigue. Use gasket remover and completely remove all the gaskets. Make sure you set the accelerator pump correctly. That's about it, the rest is pretty straight forward.
