Unhappy an oil and a clutch/miss-dieing problem... I NEED HELP!

I put a new clutch in tuesday night, after loosing it on my first day of my license, and took a 35 mile trip to pick up my girlfriend. The whole night the car felt tight, ran well and had no problems. Oh I also changed the oil, leading to another problem, more in a minute. Wednesday, I ran a coulpe of arrands, again, all was well. Picked up a friend to haul tail down a few country roads, then picked up my girl. On the way to a friends abou 25-30 miles away, the OIL light comes on and the damn buzzer along with it. Stopped and put 3(THREE)!! quarts in. The only thing I can think of for that is the cooler was drained the night before and just now decided to fill up. Is there a thermostat on these or no? I would think after 35 miles that night it would have filled up.

The car misses at idle,I think due to no/or lack of compression. I can check that with a regualr comp. guage right???? It also smokes like crazy after holding a steady throttle and punching it or letting off. White smoke but it smells like oil, not coolant, possibly side seals?

And now what really scares me. If I've got the clutch in for more than 5 or 6 seconds, it dies. What could becaousing this? Is it just aggrivated by the miss and rough idle? I know I need to adjust my TPS, but I need the miss gone first.
The only mods that I know of are gutted cats, but the previous owner MIGHT have done some thing, but I doubt it.

Please guys and gals help me, not that many people in my area know rotaries and I'm trying to learn as much as I can as fast as I can.

Sounds like one toasted motor. Changing the oil will drain the cooler as well, and it'll fill up the first time you crank the car over (watch the pressure needle on the first crank after an oil change - it doesn't move for a sec).

If it's smokin' like a bitch, rough idle, no power, it's time for a compression test.

Oh, changed your plugs or at least checked them lately?
