MasterPower's new GT turbine range

Masterpower now have a new range of turbine design, I like to call it the gt range however Masterpower call them mpbt turbines.
They are still found in the common t4 range o p and q as well as many other trims in-between these, so basically will still fit all the common Garrett t4 housings.

here is a pic of the older p trim (left) vs the gt spec p trim (right) offered by Masterpower.

they are taller in height but have the same major and exduser dimension as the older range. With one less blade and totally new casting shape I am anxious to see how these compare with the older Garrett version.

I am hoping the new blade design with lighter construction will result in a faster spooling higher flowing t4 wheel than the previous masterpower garrett versions.

Re: Mpbt

Was about to start a thred for the same thing, lol

Would also be keen on seeing how they compare to typical garret T series wheels. Sounds Promicing. Anyone else used em, seen one or heard anythin about them?

haha yea i now, its even hard for me to get new product info from them. i have to keep inquiring to kep on top of it. But they are working on a new website at the moment.

yes divided housing with v band is no problem. .84 or 1.00. both are devided and available with v band.

Oliver, so will this new line compare with the Garret GT series or no? I'm not quite sure I understand the new line. But do give us some more info as you get it from MP.

It's not
It's actually a knock off a turbine wheel design that's about 5yrs old allready.
It is still an upgarde from the original Garrett design though.
The GT turbine wheels are complety different design than the ones above. The only thing common to both wheels is that they are both 10 blade designs but flow wise the GT wheel is in a league of it's own

ahhh.... 5 year old technology Knock off?........ I think you need to be clear if thats an opinion. Masterpower is not a small Company, they do have an R&D team to develop new and improved technolgy.

but yes i dont believe they are the same as garrett gt.

you could go through 10 turbos and get it close enough by guessing....OR, you can look at a map, compare it to what you know, and get it right the first time.

Oliver, could you shoot me a PM with your turbo pricing please? There have been some people around here asking me about MP turbo's and I wanted to go through you first since I know I can trust you to take care of people. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Zach
