I am struggling to find any decent documentation on Master Power turbos. Compressor maps, inducer/exducer, etc... After reading around on the forums, people say that the garrett gt42 and the mpgt45 are the same (or close to the same) specs. Can anybody verify this with some hard evidence?

I've heard nothing but good things about Master Power T70's, 62-1's, and 60-1's, but it doesn't seem like many have actually used the GT45.

I think Master Power in Brazil
has a license from Garrett to reproduce some of there products
(wheels, CHRA etc)

It can be had for $650-675

if your on a budget
I would so go for it

should make 500+ HP
the only thing that had me worried
and the reason why I sold it
was warrenty

read of a few problems getting parts
from brazil
and taking forever to get turbos back

 

I swear, it is like breaking into the national security system trying to find a compressor map for the damn thing.

I'm not on a budget, but if I can save a few bucks for a turbo equal in quality, then why not go for it. T5 split opening...explain por favor.

Masterpower dont yet offer compressor maps, they are currently working on this now and will be availbe soon along with a range of new compressors and the chrome edition which features chrome compressor and turbine housing.

Yes the Masterpower Gt45 is same spec as the Garrett Gt42. However i think the masterpower model is better because it uses the t4 flange on turbine with a smaller v band which makes dump pipe and manifold construction easier.

I just forked out for a GARRETT GT45, but a friend of mine said I would've been better keeping the money and getting a MP T70. Thoughts? I'm currently running 550hp @ the flywheel @ 11.6psi.

Know a couple guys running masterpower turbo's on non-rotary's here. Feedback is best bang for the buck! Old school journal bearing etc, but you're getting a well built turbo priced not much above the chinese junk.
