The 13BT is the more cost-effective way to go, especially for an 80-mile-per-week car. With that said, reliability between the 20B and 13BT is equivalent, given equivalent boost levels and usage. Yes, you can use a 13BT tranny. I've had no trouble with my '87 tranny, but I don't do any dragracing.

LMAO... you sound like me.

yea, i'll be importing that same kit.
i's the only good looking WB IMHO... i dont like any of the other WB's. none of them help to accent the cars rough edges and angels... they all try and round the car off or make it too bubbly.

so yea, i'm planning the RE WB fenders and sides, and RE Amemiya full cowl pro for the inmounted lights. i'm thinking about cutting out the round fogs though, and making them square.

other than that, we both seem to have the same general idea / concept.
20b FTW... i get tired of my little 13b's torque issues.

what they say is very true;
20b > more torque
20b > more effencient power gain and durability / reliablility at higher power ratings

13b > easy to get a hold of and "cheep"
13b > good for daily driving, low to mid power ranges for maintaining durability and reliability.

i would say anyone planning on peaking 600HP or more should consider a 20b unless it's on a "weekend car" or a trailer queen...
or if you're just wanting th play "whose got the bigger *****," but i think the 20b can easily win the big ***** argument though.

my reason for the 20b? i want torque without using a v6 or v8... it's an RX-7... pistons are an insult.

everyone has a reason / need for why they want / need a 20b, or a 13b. money aside, the 20b is a better choice, but as far as general cost, you can get in in the car and running for $10,000. that's not a pretty swap, but running and functional.

One question
How much for build a rx7 20b with 900 whp ? With engine mods and car mods for the 20b engine bay ?

I am asking because you can buy a fully build 13b PAC or Billet engine that can handle up to 1000/1500 whp for about 15k/20k short block and dry-sump so this engine with 900whp would be reliable and is just take your 13b out and put this in. Of course you will need same mods in tranny, brakes, etc but this are the same mods for a 20b

Rzmotorsports is selling his 900rwhp set up in the 20b section. This is probably gonna be your cheapest way to get there in the shortest amount of time.

Custom built billet motor on race fuel …..you can bet there’s more than 40k just under the hood.

that’s like comparing one of those 4k hp drag v8s to a street, pump gas v8.

neither would get more than 5 miles on the street in their current form.

Don't wait for a reply from GUITARJUNKIE28, the poor dude got himself killed in a car crash around 2007. RIP Dave. For the rest of us: drive safe, don't remove your car's safety equipment like crash bars, airbags, or seatbelts.
