Hey everyone im come from the Honda world as i have a 98 civic ex with a b16a and some bolt on's. I'm looking for a rwd car to have fun with. So i came across a 1994 Rx-7 twin turbo R ( Not sure what type of R didnt say)

It's a black one has 5spd tranny 104kmi, looks like it has some sort of LSD Monitoring setup for boost or tunning not sure will find out when he Emails me back. The car looks Mint condition, Motor looks clean. The guy was asking 2800 and some change.

So is this a fair price for a used 94 rx7 turbo with that many miles? Great deal? Bad deal?

Also what should i look for engine wise as to problems. like as in knock on a piston engine, Weird sounds?

What would be the most obvious things, I dont know how hard it is to get to the turbo's but i would like to take a look at them to see if they have shaft play.. Is that easy to get to?

Ummm... what else, How would i go about knowing if the seals are going bad?

Just anything i should keep my eyes out for Motor wise as this is my first time seeing a rotary engine in person i belive, the rest of the car i will go all over.

Thanks guys, if i do get it im going to do a FMIC, Greddy blow off valve, aftermarket radiator, underdrive pulley for P/s and Alt, and a 3inch Exhuast with a Vibrant street power muffler, have one on my b16a and it sounds sick. Just want something with more power then my honda and rwd, going to be my DD

That is an excellent deal. Too good of a deal. Its probably a scam. A 94 FD in mint condition will go for about $15k

yah it seems like to good a deal, after i posted this i saw that link to issues and what not with the rx7 so now i know what to look for. this women emailed me back and said she wants a quick deal in cash so hopefuly i can pick it up asap

Be very very careful, when I was looking for my 7 I was in contact with a lady said she had a black RX7 in mint shape making very respectable hp numbers and wanted about 3500 bucks for it shipped anywhere in Can or the Us. I told her nothing was going to happen until I got the VIN, took her 2 weeks then I got the VIN turns out the car is registered to someone in California.
She was saying the same thing wants cash needs to sell it quick as she was in the middle of a divorce and had moved out of country. Your cash in your pocket until you see the car and test drive it!!

Do not trust anyone until you get in the car and drive it!

yea if you can get it for that price, it's heaven...I got mine FD TT for 8...and i thought that was heaven...be careful with the engine and stuff though...might be blown apex or something wrong with it...but honestly even just the shell is worth 5k...

weird i just came by a similar situation, but it was a 93 touring and was red, guy said was in army and wanted to get rid of it fast, he says to use ebay as a 3rd party to make sure we're both protected, but idk sounds too good to be true! sorry for hijacking if i did =/

its a scam it almost happend to me too she told me she wanted 3gs for her rx7 and that i would be cover by ebay secure buyer program and that an ebay agent (there is no such thing as an ebay agent i called to make sure and they told me that they dont have any ebay agents its a scam not to send any money) would receive the money and then i would receive the car and then she would get the money once i got the car and inspected it. they also send you an ebay link trying to make it look legit... the only advise i give you is go in person dont be temped just cause its cheap cause i almost got scamed out of 3gs and almost sold my 2nd gen. if you got any other questions about how to know if its a scammer let me know i've dealt with a couple over the internet which is actually kind of sad.
