Fuel Pump Wires Questions!
So the bolt on the left broke and snapped in half. Was wondering if that was a big deal? <br/>I am currently installing a new fuel pump. <br/>Was wondering if I could continue installing it and leave this as it is or if it is a by deal and needs to be fixed before putting it back together?<br/>If so then how would I go about replacing it

I've had this happen. You can take a Dremel tool and grind off the top layer of epoxy on the top of the assembly, this will expose the top of the eyelet. You can then drill out the center and use a stainless steel nut, lock washer, and bolt to make the repair. Be sure to drill out as little of the brass as possible to allow a solid connection.

Haha I hear ya, might as well! But I guess what I'm getting at is that if I were to leave it as is and put it back in that gas tank (with the wire just hanging there) it won't cause no harm?

Yep, that's the resistance signal for the fuel level sensor. Not a big deal if you don't mind having a non-working gauge. Don't worry, the low fuel warning light should still work. I wouldn't worry too much able replacing the post. Just find some creative way of holding the ring terminal to the copper plate. Solder?
